Response to National Rifle Association Proposal to Put Armed Police in Every School
WASHINGTON, Dec. 21, 2012 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- "The predictably disgusting recommendation by the NRA to turn our schools into armed camps must be resoundingly rejected. The last thing our children and country need is more guns to kill more people and garner more profits for a gun industry that places profits ahead of child and public safety," said Marian Wright Edelman, president of the Children's Defense Fund immediately following the National Rifle Association's press conference today.
