Sandra O. Smithson is recognized by Continental Who's Who as a Pinnacle Professional as a result of her dedication to Educational Outreach.

NASHVILLE, Tenn., Dec. 21, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Sandra O. Smithson is recognized by Continental Who's Who as a Pinnacle Professional as a result of her dedication to Educational Outreach. Sandra is the Founder and Chair of the Board of Trustees of Project Reflect, an organization created to address the educational needs of children living in both Tennessee, as well as the rest of the United States.

Through her work with Project Reflect, Sandra is able to follow her passion and work directly with children in her community. She provides integral services such as Educational Outreach; Child Advocacy; Charter School Development; and Child Welfare Oversight.

One of Sandra's most notable accomplishments throughout her illustrious career is her hand in developing the first Charter School in Middle Tennessee. In 2003, she opened the first charter (free public) school for students in kindergarten through grade four, aptly named Smithson Craighead Academy Elementary School. In 2009, at the request of parents and state education administrators, she added Smithson Craighead Academy Middle School with grades 5-8. The schools serve over 600 urban students this year, and over 90% receive Free and Reduced Price Meals at school.

Looking ahead, Sandra hopes to continue to serve the children of Tennessee and ensure that they each receive the education, support, and love that they so deserve.
