Pam Strisofsky Joins Endowment Capital Group
CHADDS FORD, Pa., Dec. 7, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Endowment Capital Group, LP, an investment advisor catering to university endowments, foundations, and other qualified investors with a long-term investment horizon, announced today that Pam Strisofsky has joined the firm as Chief Operating Officer and Managing Director.
Prior to joining Endowment Capital, Pam was a Managing Director and Chief Financial Officer of TL Ventures, an early-stage venture capital firm with $1.5 billion under management. She joined TL in 1997, and during her tenure there, she assisted in raising more than $1.1 billion of capital and oversaw the investment of more than $1.3 billion in early-stage companies. She was also active in various private equity industry groups and standards setting bodies including the National Venture Capital Association (NVCA) and the Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) that lobbied for regulatory, tax, and general accounting. While at TL she also provided accounting, financial, and strategic support to several funds and companies, including, Safeguard International Fund, Eastern Technology Council, Guardian Capital Partners, and Internet Capital Group, Inc.
"We are excited about the depth that Pam's experience brings to the team, and as such are increasingly confident that we can continue to provide exceptional focus on both the operational and investment fronts during this time of increasing regulatory demands and complexity," said Philip Timon, Endowment Capital's founder and Chief Investment Officer. "I believe the portfolio is at a unique inflection point and the firm is positioned for growth, which makes this the ideal time to recruit the strongest operational leader available who can help us now and as we expand," Mr. Timon added.
Endowment Capital manages a highly concentrated, long-biased portfolio of North-American small-cap, public companies with strong, differentiated business models acquired at a time when the companies are facing temporary headwinds and, consequently, are experiencing depressed stock prices. Endowment Capital takes a longer-term investment view of these companies and uses intensive proprietary research to make investment decisions, both long and short, in stocks that can often be over looked by shorter-term oriented investors.
