FalconTrust Supports Back-to-School Book Bag Giveaway Throughout Miami-Dade County Communities
MIAMI, Aug. 12 /PRNewswire/ -- FalconTrust donated over a thousand book
bags this past Saturday, August 9th duringMiami-Dade Counties District Two
and Three's annual back to school initiatives. The activities took place in
Gwen Cherry/YET Center and Olinda Park, offering communities such as
Allapattah and Liberty City the opportunity to receive free book bags on a
first come first serve basis. Sponsored byMiami-Dade County, the back-to-
school events also featured family fun-filled entertainment, food, and free
health screenings.
"Contributing toward our children's day to day educational well-being is
truly gratifying," said FalconTrust's CEO Albert Sotero. "We sometimes take
for granted even the most minimal detail such as a book bag, yet it can make a
world of difference to any one child," he added.
FalconTrust will be donating more than two thousand book bags throughout
the back-to-school season during upcoming events, including this Thursday,
August 14th from 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. at District Eleven's Miami-Dade County
Fair & Exposition (Arnold Hall Pavilion). Administered by the Miami-Dade
County Health Department, free vaccines will be available for students under
age 18 accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
